Mindfulness & Therapy on Chicago’s North Shore.
Dr. Meyer is a licensed clinical psychologist who has collaborated with clients for over fifteen years. She graduated magna cum laude from Northwestern University with a degree in Learning and Organizational Change, earning her Masters and Doctoral degrees at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. She completed her clinical training at the Replogle Center for Counseling and Well-Being in Chicago and at Western Michigan University’s counseling center in Kalamazoo. She returned to Chicago to join Integrative Health Partners, where she practiced for over a decade, working with individuals and couples and leading groups in Mindfulness and Stress Reduction. Dr. Meyer is now in private practice and provides in-person and remote services to individuals and organizations.
With deep educational roots in psychodynamic psychology, Dr. Meyer also employs a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). Integrating these modalities, Dr. Meyer helps clients understand their challenges, reduce their symptoms, and effect systemic change to generate healing and growth.

Balancing work and life
I want my clients to live with meaning and joy. We achieve this by deepening awareness of our internal and external worlds, marshaling our innate—and sometimes hidden—strengths, and learning to respond skillfully to adversity. I collaborate with my clients both to increase their psychological flexibility and strength and—crucially—to identify their core values. When our decisions flow from such values, rather than from fear or avoidance, we live authentically and with greater peace-of-mind.
If you are a therapist seeking regular or case-specific clinical consultation, please write me at becca@drbeccameyer.com.
Please email me at becca@drbeccameyer.com to check my current availability. If I have openings in my schedule, we’ll start with a telephone consultation to see if we’ll work well together. I’m very interested to learn more about what brings you to my practice, and you are welcome to ask any questions and raise any concerns you may have. Compatibility between client and therapist is incredibly important!
My fees for therapy, coaching, and consultation are $150-$200 for 50-90 minute sessions. Fees vary for mindfulness trainings and workshops, which I tailor for each client; but they are typically similar to my fees for other services.
Clients may use their insurance if they seek psychotherapy and meet the criteria for a clinical diagnosis like anxiety or depressive disorder. I am an in-network provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO plans. I am an out-of-network provider for all other insurance plans. If I am in-network, I will submit your claims directly, and you will be responsible for any deductible, co-insurance, and co-pays not covered by your plan. If I am out-of-network, you would pay me directly for my services, and I will provide you with a “Superbill,” which you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Regardless of your plan, I highly recommend that you verify relevant details regarding benefits, deductibles, co-pays, co-insurance, and telehealth coverage.
Please note that personal and professional coaching, mindfulness training, and consultation services cannot be billed through insurance. However, you may be able to use a flexible spending or health savings account for these services.
